Unbreakable Dental Resin
The Hellenic Medical Authority (EOF) draws the attention of businesses active in the distribution of medical devices and healthcare professionals regarding the distribution of counterfeit dental resin products. Unbreakable Dental Resin the company's thermoplastic Comfort System Inc., (TCS), USA, which also produces the products Iflex and Karadent.
According to the company's notification, it was found that packaging of a counterfeit Unbreakable Dental Resin product was being distributed in Vietnam by the Chinese company SREFO, on the packaging of which, next to the CE marking, the four-digit code corresponding to the notified body National Standards Authority of Ireland was written, while it is a category I product (see attached photo). The correct thing is not to write a 4-digit code below the EC.
Businesses active in the distribution of medical devices and healthcare professionals are urged to be particularly careful when purchasing TCS products and to inform the company and the Hellenic Medical Authority if there are any suspicions of a TCS product in their possession.
