A broad meeting of institutional bodies on the smooth and safe operation of the pharmaceutical supply chain was held yesterday at the EOF under the coordination of the President of the EOF, Mr. S. Sapounas and the Vice President, Mr. I. Gouzouasis, and with the assistance of the Deputy Head of the Production Control and Product Circulation Directorate, Mr. D. Dimas. The meeting was attended by a delegation of the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association consisting of the President Mr. A. Valtas, the First Vice President Mr. S. Zikas and the Secretary General Mr. E. Katsarakis, as well as representatives of the Federation of Pharmacists' Cooperatives of Greece/OSFE (President Mr. V. Birlirakis, Secretary General Mr. Tasos Terzis) and the President of the Panhellenic Association of Drugstores/PSF Mr. Th. Skylakakis.
The meeting analyzed factors that affect the smooth operation of the supply chain and discussed areas and practices for strengthening cooperation between the involved bodies, with the aim of more effective supervision of the pharmaceutical market and ensuring the adequacy of medicines.
